Rafal Goraczniak is a landscape and nature photographer focused on capturing subtle visual moments shaped by light, a pursuit he has followed for more than three decades.
By training, Rafal is a scientist, and his photography emerges from the same approach of observation. Both disciplines require patience, careful attention, and a trust that meaning grows through close study rather than quick assumption. When working in the field, Rafal relies less on conscious decisions and more on intuition. Rafal’s work has received recognition through juried exhibitions and museum programs. In 2017, he was selected as a New Jersey Emerging Artist by The Monmouth Museum, leading to a solo exhibition, Beyond Badlands. His work has also earned Best in Show at the 2019 Annual Pinelands Juried Photo Exhibition and First Place in Photography at the 11th Annual Highlands Juried Art Exhibition in 2024.
